More than 5000 people, spread across the Valley, are in the dark this morning. Hydro One is reporting a power outage that sweeps from Pembroke to Arnprior, with the bulk of the outages in Whitewater Region and Greater Madawaska Township. Crews are currently working on the problem and hope to have the lights back on by 11:30 this morning. Small pockets may see their power returned around 11am, while other customers towards the Upper Ottawa Valley may be left in the dark until shortly after 12pm. There are a few outages in the Pontiac as well that should be resolved by 10:30am.
