The Ontario Provincial Police say the safety of all residents is their top priority.
The OPP is reminding you when going out in public to keep two metres away from others. Physical distancing is key to reducing your risk of transmission and flattening the curve.
Police are able to charge non-essential businesses that remain open, offences for people gathering in groups of more than five (5) people, and those who violate the quarantine act.
To report an offense you can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or dial 911 in case of an emergency.
If you wish to file a report regarding non-compliance under the Quarantine Act, contact the Public Health Agency of Canada online.
