Ontario is reporting another 260 cases of COVID-19 today, for a total of nearly two-thousand in the province.
Ontario has seen 33 deaths due to the coronavirus, and more than 500 resolved cases.
Renfrew County has two confirmed cases of COVID-19. A woman in her 90’s died in hospital after getting the virus without travel and a woman in her 30’s is self isolating after returning from a trip overseas.
The province also says the number of people awaiting test results continues to drop as more testing capacity is added and the backlog is cleared.
Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health says that as of yesterday afternoon, 100 people in intensive care units were confirmed to have COVID-19 and 61 of them were on ventilators.
