Frontline workers are often among the first to fall- and two Hull Hospital employees have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
That brings the Outaouais Region’s confirmed case-load to 18 individuals (as at Friday afternoon).
The logistics of the Hull Hospital illness now necessitates that 11 other employees be placed in isolation.
The Public health department is currently conducting rigorous investigations in order to establish
every contact these two employees have had- as well as any individuals who received a positive result for
Covid-19.
In order to support the Hull Hospital team, which will be understaffed, a contingency plan will be put in place so that nurses from the Gatineau Hospital and other facilities will be available to assist at Hull.
A system of cold, warm and hot zones- depending on risk, is now being established in emergency rooms and care units to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
