Ontario Power Generation held a public Telephone Town Hall on managing water levels on the Ottawa River.
Spokesperson Neal Kelly says there were actually two calls- one for the northern portion of the Ottawa River Basin, and one for the southern part.
Each call lasted an hour- with an half-hour break in between.
Members of the public called in, many with tough questions.
In our wrap up interview with the OPG spokesperson Oldies 107.7/myFM asked Kelly about the role the International Joint Commission- established by treaty in 1909, might be playing with its regulation of Great Lakes water levels.
Kelly can’t promise no flooding on the Ottawa this year- but so far, things are looking good.
