The Township of Greater Madawaska is doing what it can to support residents during the COVID-19 situation. Effective today, the municipality is postponing all interest on taxes allotted for the 2020 Interim Bill due this Friday. However, any balances that are outstanding on accounts for 2019 and older will have interest applied as normal. Township staff says the move will be reviewed on a monthly basis based on the current situation surrounding COVID-19. The Township will advise when the postponement of interest is lifted. The Township also encourages those that can pay their taxes to do so as the municipality is considered an essential service and is continuing to operate. Monthly Pre Authorized Payment Plans will continue to be withdrawn on the 15th of each month. If you require an alteration to your payment plan, please contact the town hall. Payments may be made in the form of a cheque or on the Township website, in person at a financial institution or online banking.
