The largest single day increase of COVID-19 is being reported in the province of Ontario with 100 new cases listed this morning. A total of 688 positive tests have been reported across Ontario with nine deaths and eight resolved cases.
There are currently no lab confirmed cases in Renfrew County, but the health unit is reminding residents social distancing will help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington (KFL&A) Public Health have confirmed five new cases of COVID-19 in the region. The new cases brings the total in the area to 16. This comes after three cases were added yesterday (Tuesday) and another four the day before (Monday). The new cases include a man in his 20’s who returned from Mexico, a male and female under the age of 18 who contracted COVID-19 from close contact, a man in their 40’s contracted the virus from close contact and a female in her 30’s also is listed as a positive case through close contact. Four of the five new cases in the KFL&A region were transmitted through close contact.
