First, it was Raglan Street reconstruction- but that disruption was nothing compared to the uncertainty Renfrew Business Improvement Area members are sensing as the COVID-19 crisis impacts local proprietors.
Jean Hughes is president of the downtown BIA.
The BIA spokesperson says that because of required social distancing there has been no face-to-face contact among group members.
Individual Renfrew businesses have been communicating their revised hours via social media.
She notes this is the end of the first fiscal quarter of 2020, and a time when big deductions come due.
Hughes says the business community is duty-bound to respect government decisions that she hopes will be proven beneficial with time.
