Don’t just look for helpers, be the helpers. And you can find them on social media, just look for Caremongering Renfrew County and Area. The page created by local farmer Angela Field, is a resource for people who are self isolating, quarantined or practicing social distancing.
She says the concept originated in PEI and inspired her to do something locally.
Members of the page are offering to pick up groceries, make meals, deliver medications as well as find ways to support families in need as we work to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in our community. Field hopes people will remember what it’s like to be neighbourly and the concept it will continue to thrive long after COVID-19 passes.
