The province of Ontario is announcing additional measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to protect local residents. Premier Doug Ford announced today (March 19th) they will suspend all driver license, health card and vehicle sticker renewals until further notice. Ford also says for those worried about not being able to make rent payments they will be suspending all eviction orders until further notice.
Ford says they will also allow delivery trucks to operate 24 hours a day to keep the shelves stocked. He adds some municipalities have noise by-laws that prevent overnight deliveries and that will be put on hold so residents can access essential services. The Premier says don’t hoard food and supplies or panic buy and there should be enough for everyone.
