If you have an eye appointment, you may want to follow up with your optometrist. The Renfrew Eye Clinic is cancelling all non-urgent eye appointments at the suggestion of the College of Optometrists of Ontario. The Clinic will remain open to see urgent eye related cases from 9am until 12pm daily, by appointment only. Ocular emergencies includes sudden loss or decrease in vision, foreign body in the eye, ocular injury or forceful trauma to the eye, or surrounding area, sudden onset of persistent, severe pain in or around the eye or with eye movement, sudden onset of flashing lights and/or floaters, sudden onset of double vision. All red and pink eyes will be triaged through telemedicine by one of the doctors. If you’re unsure if you’re experiencing an emergency, call the office.
