With the number of COVID-19 cases growing in the Ottawa area, the Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is putting preventative measures in place.
The RVH has started screening all visitors and limited public entry to the emergency room doors only. Regular scheduled clinics at the RVH will remain open. If you have a fever and symptoms of respiratory infection, or if you have vomiting or diarrhea, please call in advance and ask if you should still attend your appointment.
At RVH, we are maintaining close contact with public health, and taking recommended precautions.
While we still have no reported cases of the novel coronavirus in Renfrew County, anyone who suspects they have symptoms of COVID-19 (which include a fever, cough, shortness of breath) is asked to NOT go into the hospital and instead contact the Renfrew County District Health Unit at 613-735-8653 ext. 577 as soon as possible.
