Bringing a new hockey team to town involves a lot of behind-the-scenes activity.
Renfrew Recreation Director Kevin Hill made a report to Town Council Tuesday, outlining the steps that have been taken so far in dealing with team owner Ryan Leonard and his group.
Hill says the Town used a number of sample contracts in force in other communities in drafting a template- which both sides like after a little back-and-forth.
Terms over revenue sharing, concession rights, advertising and other aspects all roll up ito a five-year deal.
Hill anticipates the formal deal will be inked within the month.
