The Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, John Yakabuski, is under attack on social media for some comments he allegedly made regarding the education strike.
According to Toronto-St.Paul MPP and the Ontario NDP Culture Critic, Jill Andrew, when the PC party was asked to keep classroom sizes small so children with autism can continue to thrive with supports, Yakabuski was heard saying “everyone wants a personal teacher”.
The myFM/Oldies newsroom reached out to our local MPP and the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry for a comment, but did not hear back by the time this story was written.
During the one day province wide walk at the end of February, all four teacher unions gathered outside the office of MPP and asked why Yakabuski was not standing up for local students.
