
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP says a silver four door 2014 Mazda 3 was stolen has been stolen from a residence in Petawawa. Police say the incident happened in the overnight hours between March 1st and 2nd.
The OPP says the car was parked in a driveway on Vermont Meadows in the Town of Petawawa. The vehicle was involved in a gas theft in Arnprior around 6:00 am this morning (March 2nd). The license plate attached at the time of the theft was BVFW 271.
Police say the car was unlocked with the keys inside when it was stolen. The OPP is reminding all vehicle owners to roll up the windows, lock the vehicle, pocket your keys, park in a well lit area if possible and to never leave valuables in plain sight. Officers say you should also lock up your home, sheds and outbuildings. Remember lock it lose it.
