It’s a road in serious need of attention and after crunching the numbers, the town of Renfrew and the County now know how much their share of the Raglan Street project will cost. The work, which is expected to begin in the Spring, will see Raglan Street South, also known as County Road 52, rehabilitated from the intersection of Raglan, Hall and Veteran’s Boulevard to Graham Avenue. The original scope of the project saw work all the way to Pucker Street, but has since been removed from the plans, saving the County some money. The total cost comes in at nearly 1.8 million dollars with the county chipping in 555 thousand dollars, leaving the remaining 1.2 million covered by town funds including wastewater, water and taxation. Work includes underground infrastructure, curbs, sidewalks and paving. Costs including engineering and design work as well.
