Three residents have been charged in a multi-jurisdictional police investigation. The charges come following a four-month investigation into multiple break and enters, and theft incidents reported throughout Renfrew County and the City of Ottawa. It was all part of Project NEON and two search warrants were executed resulting in the recovery of stolen property which included firearms, tools, and electronic devices and camping gear, totaling more than $5000. Additionally, over 250 charges have been laid. Charged in the case is 18-year-old Mathieu Robert, 23-year-old Austin Turcotte both of Laurentian Valley as well as a third individual from Pembroke who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. All three are facing multiple counts of break and enter, theft, property, and firearms-related offenses.
