If you’ve been one to enjoy many an Arnprior Fair at its former location, you may have been sad to see the old fair buildings coming down to make way for new development. The demolition started last weekend.
Planner and interim Arnprior Chief Administrative Officer Robin Paquette sympathizes.
Paquette says she’s not aware when all of the fair buildings will have been removed.
She says actual construction work at the Fairgrounds can’t begin until the bulk of preliminary off-site work is out of the way.
The contractor, Juliada Holdings Inc. will be completing 4.7 million dollars worth of underground services work on the property and adjacent lands as its immediate priority.
