The town of Renfrew is investing in one land owner’s desire to be more accessible. Council recently agreed to give roughly $3500 to Stuart Mason, a local registered massage therapist, to make his office accessible for everyone who requires his services. The money covers half of the cost to install a ramp to the entrance of his unit located at 140 Argyle Street South. The money will come from both the accessibility improvement grant and the planning and building permit fee grant from the Community Improvement Plan. Councillor Sandi Heins was fully in favour of approving this request, as she says it ties in nicely with the accessibility plan the town is looking to bring forward.
