Ontario Families can fish for free this weekend.
In recognition of Family Day weekend, Canadian residents can fish anywhere in Ontario without a license or outdoors card Saturday through Monday.
Natural Minister Resources Minister John Yakabuski says the government is aiming to make family time outdoors a lot easier.
Along with free fishing during Family Day weekend, three more free fishing weekends will be available later this year, including Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends.
Families fishing during winter conditions are advised to practice proper ice safety habits.
