The hospital says due to a shortage of nursing staff, there will be no obstetrical services available from 4pm today (Friday) until 8am next Friday morning.
Women in labour will be evaluated first at Pontiac Hospital, then redirected to Gatineau Hospital unless delivery is imminent.
The hospital says it has already notified the expectant mothers who may be affected by the closure
