Two special events Friday have been organized to help two families in crisis in our community. Nathan Plunkett and Jacob Schuler were hit head on by another vehicle on Highway 17 on January 30 and the two remain in Ottawa in hospital. So Domino’s has a special deal tomorrow (Friday) to help the Schuler and Plunkett families.
That’s Justin Cruise, he’s related to one of the young men injured in the crash. Domino’s is open from 11am until 1am. The Domino’s fundraiser as well as a dance Friday night at the Horton Community centre hope to alleviate financial costs the family is now facing.
That’s Rick Rogers, a former paramedic and now a musician who is performing tomorrow night. The dance on Friday runs from 8pm until 1am and features local musicians. Horton council agreed to waive the rental fee for the facility and also took a cash collection to donate to the families. There’s also a go-fund-me page available for those who wish to make a donation http://gf.me/v/c/mjxq/plunkett-amp-schuler-boys-fundraiser
