In one weekend, Upper Ottawa Valley OPP charged four residents with stunt driving offenses. Last Friday morning, police say a 34-year-old driver from Deep River was caught driving 154 km/hr on Highway 17 in Petawawa. Later that same morning, a 17-year-old driver with a G2 license from Deep River was caught driving 158 km/hr on Highway 17 in Petawawa. Then on Saturday morning, a 32-year-old driver from Russell Township was caught driving 141 km/hr on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region. Later that afternoon, a 49-year-old driver from Ottawa was caught driving 141 km/hr on Highway 17 in Laurentian Valley Township. All drivers were driving in a posted 90 km/h zone at the time of the offenses. They also had their driver’s licenses suspended and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
