It’s a great way to get out and enjoy winter. The 5th annual Opeongo Classic Loppet returns February 2nd. One of the committee members for the event, Chris Hinsperger, says participants can choose from a variety of different cross-country ski distances.
Hinsperger encourages everyone to come have some fun.
He adds they will have prizes for the largest team and best costumes. The event spokesperson says full details on the event including registration and a video and map of the trail system is available on the Opeongo Nordic website. Registration for the event closes on February 1st at 9pm. Sign-in starts at 8:30am on event day, February 2nd with a mass start at 11:00am.
