The 2020 Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) conference is in the books. Renfrew Reeve Peter Emon attended and was pleased to say the Ford government is producing a status quo budget with no surprises this time around. Emon adds he’s pleased there’s no change to funding that benefits rural Ontario and the town of Renfrew.
Public health care and paramedic services in rural Ontario are front of mind for Emon as well. He addressed those concerns when he had a chance to speak with ministry staff. Emon says he thinks they were heard.
Emon was involved in four sessions and moderated one himself, with Pine and the deputy minister.
