The LEG, or Local Efficiency Group, has received a provincial grant to hire a consultant to look at shared services from a new perspective, in terms of what things can a municipality do on its own to cut costs, and what the seven partners can do together to save everyone some money.
Arnprior Mayor Walter Stack says the group, which includes seven Eastern Renfrew County partners, was successful with its application.
The group includes Arnprior, Renfrew, Greater Madawaska, Horton, McNab Braeside, Admaston Bromley, and Whitewater Region.
