It was a record year for home sales in Renfrew County. The Renfrew County Real Estate Board says 84 units sold in December 2019, an increase of 9.1 percent from the same time the year before. That represents a new sales record for the month of December. On an annual basis, home sales were up 8.2% from 2018 to 2019. The average price of a home sold last month was $236,592, which is down 6% from December of the year before. However, it was the lowest level of supply for this time of year in over a decade. There were just 408 active residential listings at the end of December, down over 26% from the end of December 2018.
