Another disruption in service at the Shawville hospital. Hospital officials say that due to the unexpected absence of a surgeon, general surgery and Obstetric services won’t be offered at the hospital until Monday, January 13th at 8am. For the time being, trauma cases are referred to the nearest trauma center. Also, pregnant women in labour will be redirected, after being evaluated at the Pontiac hospital, to the Gatineau hospital.
