Renfrew County residents will once again be taking to the streets on a cold winter night to fight homelessness.
Organizer Dave Henderson says the February 22nd Coldest Night of the Year event is another in an ongoing series.
Henderson says most participants have taken part in all three events to date.
The Coldest Night of the Year is an annual event held right across the country in aid of local homeless shelters.
Henderson says those taking part will have their choice of a 2km, 5km or 10km route.
He says organizers are looking for family, community and business-based teams, who are willing to raise funds, walk the streets, then enjoy food and fellowship following the walk.
People are encouraged to register their team at cnoy.org/pembroke.
This year proceeds will go to benefit the Grind’s Transition House program and the Community Kitchen.
