The demographics of a township are always shifting and changing. Children grow up and leave, families move to a new home based on growing needs, and sometimes, signs that were relevant once upon a time, are no longer needed. Horton Township is taking a look at several ‘Watch for Children’ signs in their municipality. They no longer meet the legislative requirements in regards to reflectivity and instead of investing money in new ones, they’ve decided to just remove the signs where they’re no longer required. In the meantime, should any resident feel a sign is till necessary on their road, they’re encouraged to contact the township office and request the sign remain in place.
