January 1st is a statutory holiday in Ontario, meaning all government agencies and services are shut down December 25th and 26th.
Banks, Credit Unions and Financial Institutions are also closed, and most branches have early closings in effect today, Tuesday.
Those hours are dependent on your local institution, so please call ahead if you’re needing more than a bank machine.
The Beer Stores in Renfrew will close at 6PM this evening and they reopen with customary hours of operation Thursday.
The LCBO store will close at 6PM tonight and open for business Thursday morning.
Grocery Stores have posted holiday hours on their store fronts.
Renfrew Metro closes this evening at 4PM and will be back open Thursday.
Sterling’s No Frills closes this evening at 6PM, and opens again Thursday.
Walmart in Renfrew closes this evening at 6PM and is closed New Year’s Day.
In Renfrew, there is no waste collection on Wednesday.
