McNab-Braeside Mayor Tom Peckett says 2019 was another good year for upgrading the Township’s public assets- the John A. Gillies building is up and running in Braeside, and the Murray Yantha Community Centre on Russett Drive is almost done.
Peckett praises municipal staff for yeo-person service in tackling the second major flood in three years and believes Doug MaNeil’s report into its cause went as far as it could.
The Mayor says the four-laning boom will arrive in McNab-Braeside in 2022, but in the meantime an important band-aid will be improvements at the Calabogie road intersection on Highway 17, to begin in 2020.
Peckett believes the joint-venture with Arnprior on the Seniors Active Living Centre is praiseworthy for the activities it has sparked.
