It has been an eventful first year for the new Town Council in Arnprior.
Mayor Walter Stack says he walks to work in the morning, and back home in the evening- and always gets an earful from residents en route.
The Mayor hopes the silence he’s hearing from the Town’s business community on his compromise proposal on the special municipal parking lot levy is a sign the olive branch will be accepted.
Stack says in 2019 the Corporation of the Town of Arnprior came through with an aggregate contribution of 600 thousand dollars toward redevelopment of the Grove Nursing Home.
The Mayor says he particularly values the close working relationship with next-door municipal neighbour, McNab-Braeside.
