It looks like Mother Nature is brewing a messy storm to wrap up 2019. According to Environment Canada, they’re tracking a system from the southwestern United States that is expected to bring snow and freezing rain to the Valley Sunday. There’s a good chance we’ll see snow Sunday afternoon, changing to periods of freezing rain or snow in the evening. With milder temperatures called for on Monday, that freezing rain and potential snow is expected to continue Monday morning, tapering off to flurries by the evening. However, with ice accumulation, comes the risk of power outages, be sure to stock up on flashlights and batteries, as well as fresh water for drinking. Keep an eye on Hydro One for updates should you find yourself in the dark. We’ll monitor this storm system and keep you updated with information.
