Thousands of homes and businesses have been without power in the Ottawa Valley since last night, when a storm dumped wet, heavy snow, bringing down power lines across the region. The over 4,900 outages are scattered across a wide region, though the hardest hit areas seem to be south of Eganville and Killaloe, as well as in the northern most edge of Renfrew County, in Head, Clara and Maria township. Hydro One says some customers should have the lights back on by 4pm, while many others will be waiting until 11 o’clock tonight.
