There will be no more bank in Beachburg next year. Representatives from Scotiabank head office say after careful consideration they have made the difficult decision to relocate services from Beachburg to the branch in Cobden. The changes will come into effect Thursday, June 4th, 2020 and customer accounts will automatically be moved over so that no action is required from residents. Scotiabank says the main focus at this time is communicating changes to affected customers to ensure a smooth transition. Teams in Beachburg and Cobden will work to assist customers with any questions they may have. Scotiabank says they have not finalized staffing plans, but all employees have been notified of the changes. The bank says they have a long tradition of treating employees fairly and with respect in all circumstances and will continue to do so in this case.
