It looks like some messy weather is coming our way tonight (Friday). Environment Canada is calling for risk of freezing rain in the Renfrew, Arnprior and Calabogie area. An approaching east coast storm could see freezing rain start tonight and continue into tomorrow morning. As the system continues through and passes, rain is expected to change to snow tomorrow night, dropping a few centimetres and bring colder temperatures with gusting winds. Meanwhile, if you plan on traveling, the upper Ottawa Valley is expected to get a significant amount of snowfall this weekend, starting Saturday afternoon and tapering off to flurries on Sunday. You’re reminded take extra care when on area roads and to adjust your driving to the changing weather conditions.
