Charlie LeClaire is a local youth who could teach us a little something about kindness and basic human decency.
The 11 year old Renfrew student will be outside Pick-It Fence tomorrow (Saturday) from about 11am until 2pm selling goodies to raise money for his Blessing Bags. Charlie tells he was inspired by something he watched.
Last year Charlie raised 2500 dollars and filled 60 blessing bags. He’s hoping to raise 2600 dollars this year. The bags, which include items such as socks, deodorant, hats and mitts, are given to the Shepherds of Good Hope who distribute them to those in need. Charlie is selling hot chocolate, cookies, nuts and bolts as well as butter tarts, the cost is only a donation.
