The NHA/NHL Museum won’t be open to the public before Christmas. Rob Barker, with the museum board, says they’ve encountered some difficulty telling the history of how the town of Renfrew shaped hockey as we know it today.
They’re reluctant to pick a firm date for their opening, but did say it wouldn’t be until the New Year. The new space is smaller than they would have liked but he says they’re thrilled with the fact it’s not accessible to everyone in Renfrew to enjoy. The Museum was relocated after the sale of the Post Office in Downtown Renfrew, to the Ma-Te-Way Activity Centre.
