You will not see the Christmas kettles this holiday season, or hear the familiar ringing of the bell of volunteers collecting donations for the Renfrew Salvation Army. myFM News has learned there will be no kettles in town this year. Cathy Shears says this is a decision that was made higher up in the organization, based on years past.
They are accepting donations locally, you can drop it off in person or mail it to the office. The money will be used to support some of the family services offered by the Church and Christmas toys for children. In addition, you can find their angel trees at Walmart and Scott’s Hardware.
