
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has seized a large quantity illegal drugs and weapons from a residence in Pembroke.
A joint operation by members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Provincial Joint-Forces Cannabis Team and the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment as well as the UOV OPP Crime Unit executed multiple search warrants at a residence on Christie Street on November 14, 2019.
Officers seized numerous firearms, a no-longer-functional rocket launcher and other prohibited devices.
They also bagged a large quantity of illicit drugs.
Randy Terris MCLAUGHLIN, age 27 of Pembroke has initially been charged with Importing a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, and unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.
Police say further charges are pending.
The investigation is continuing and numerous other charges are pending.
The accused remains in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 18th.
