It’s time again to get your annual flu shot.
Annie Morrissette, Public Health Nurse with the Renfrew County and District Health Unit, says seniors may have heard there’s a shortage of the enhanced flu shot for the elderly, and that’s true, but she says Ontario is encouraging seniors to get vaccinated now with the regular dose flu shot rather than wait.
Your doctor’s office may receive a new supply of the enhanced flu shot doses by late November but regular flu shots are available now wherever the free medication is dispensed – your local pharmacy, your physician’s office, or at a County Flu Shot Clinic.
The Public Health Nurse says flu shots are free for everyone.
