When Beaumen Waste Management went under this summer, Horton Township had to find a temporary recycling solution for its residents.
Mayor Dave Bennett says Horton reached a deal with Canadian Waste, the firm that picks up Horton ratepayers’ garbage, but the deal has been costly.
The Mayor says the recycling is currently being trucked to Ottawa.
Horton’s Technical Task Committee is exploring options with a view to finalizing a solution early in 2020.
