Admaston Bromley is asking for the Coroner’s Inquest into the murders of three Valley woman to be held at the Pembroke courthouse. On September 21st of 2015, Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk and Nathalie Warmerdam were murdered. In 2017, Basil Borutski was sentenced to 70 years in prison without parole for the crimes. Since these women chose Renfrew County as their place to live, work or call home, many feel it’s important the inquest take place in the community where the trauma occurred to investigate system failures. Admaston/Bromley council has passed a resolution to forward a letter to the office of the Chief Coroner urging the inquest be held in Renfrew County. The resolution is also being sent to other local municipalities, the Solicitor General and representatives in Parliament. The resolution goes on to say the Pembroke courthouse has the means to conduct the inquiry and it would be an inconvenience for those directly involved to have the inquest anywhere else. A time and location for the inquest will be set at a later date.
