Now that the dust has settled on the federal election, we here at myFM News thought we’d see how local residents are feeling about the new government and their new MP. Reporters from myFM hit the streets yesterday to get some reaction.
In Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke riding, incumbent Conservative Cheryl Gallant took over half the votes (52.67%). Of the voters we spoke to, all seemed good with another four years of Ms. Gallant.
The results of the election weren’t a surprise for many.
Voter turnout this election was 66%, down about seven percent from the 2015 election.
