Pineau says he won’t rule out running again in four years and is hopeful that our Member of Parliament will work towards climate change initiatives in the future.

Libertarian candidate Stefan Klietsch, who finished in ninth place out of the ten candidates, says his showing wasn’t really what he’d hoped for.

Gallant has held the seat in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke since the year 2000, when she won it as a member of the Canadian Alliance. She has run as a Conservative since the two parties merged. Prior to that, the riding had been held by the Liberals for over 20 years.
