There are eight names on the ballot for the election in the Pontiac. Incumbent Liberal Candidate William Amos is running against Mario Belec of the People’s Party of Canada, Claude Bertrand of the Green Party, Conservative candidate Dave Blackburn, Bloc Quebecois representative Jonathan Carreiro-Benoit, NDP nominee Denise Giroux, from the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada Louis Lang and Veterans Coalition Party representative Shawn Stewart. Federal election Day is today and voters are going to the polls to elect someone to represent them for the next four years in Parliament.
