The Mayor of Whitewater Region Township is adopting a wait-and-see attitude on the October 21st Federal Election.
Michael Moore is aware of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Election wish-list, and he says he would not be opposed to an increase in Federal Gas Tax Revenue transfers.
The Whitewater Region Mayor says without money from senior levels of government, there’s very little a local jurisdiction can do on its own to remedy an affordability crisis in housing.
He says announced monies for internet connectivity are welcome.
In his township, it is cell service that is the principal problem.
The Mayor says the nature and level of upper government hand-outs will vary depending upon who is elected October 21st.
