Valley voters had two opportunities in one night to hear what the candidates have to say on the issues as we head towards the October 21st Federal Election.
The Ontario Federation of Agriculture’s (OFA’s) Candidate Forum was in Cobden, where almost three hundred people heard from six of the ten candidates running in Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke.
Fifteen questions were posed relating to infrastructure, federal debt, the plight of agriculture, seniors issues, slaughterhouses, gun control, veterans, military spending, mental health, natural gas and the nuclear industry.
Attending the OFA forum in Cobden were David Ainsworth of the PPC, Independent Jonathan Davis, Conservative Cheryl Gallant, Libertarian Stefan Klietsch, Independent Dheerendra Kumar, and New Democrat Eileen Jones Whyte.
Davis, Klietsch, Jones Whyte and Kumar did double-duty and also attended the earlier gathering in Westmeath.
The Liberal and Green candidates as well as the Veterans Coalition nominee, and Independent Dan Criger did not attend the Cobden gathering.
