Mother Nature’s beautiful fall colours are being complemented by the award-winning Madawaska Valley Studio Tour, today through Sunday.
It’s an opportunity to interact with the Valley’s creatives at work in their personal studios.
Twenty studios and 11 guests from Eganville to Barry’s Bay to Combermere and beyond are participating.
Disciplines include metal sculpting, pyrography, hand weaving and rug hooking, pottery, glasswork, jewellery, blacksmithing, Inuit sculpture, wood carving, leatherwork, wood turning and hand forged knives, as well as original fine art paintings in oil and acrylic.
All studios offer sheltered areas in the event of rain as well as washroom facilities.
The Madawaska Valley Studio Tour is self-directed.
Start anywhere you like at your leisure. An easy to follow map is available at http://madawaskastudiotour.com and brochures are found at Visitor Information Centres and businesses in the area.
